HOUSE RULES AND SERVICES

The Board of Governors has full power to make, suspend, amend or otherwise modify the house rules at any time.

THE CLUB HOUSE

1.        Open daily at 8:00 am and at all times to occupants of guestrooms.

2.        Appropriate casual wear is permitted at any time in the Hunt Room and Tack Room and on the Porch and Patio. Appropriate casual wear includes tennis clothing, sports attire, Bermuda shorts, casual shirts with collars for men and similarly appropriate women’s attire. Appropriate denim clothing is permitted only in the Hunt Room and on the Porch and Veranda. Prior to 6:30 pm, permitted attire in the Bar consists of Bermuda shorts or business casual attire. After 6:30 pm, business casual is the minimum required attire in the Bar. For purposes of these rules, “business casual” means shirt with collar and long slacks for men and similarly appropriate attire for women. Business casual does not include denim, tennis clothing, sports attire, sneakers or gym shoes. After 6:30 pm, gentlemen are required to wear coats and ties when using the Dining Room and Gray Room, and women are required to wear similarly appropriate attire, except on Fridays. On Fridays, appropriate Club dress in the Dining Room and Gray Room is business casual for lunch, but for dinner (after 6:30 pm) gentlemen are required to wear coats and shirts with collar and women required to wear similarly appropriate attire. The presence of club functions may supersede these rules on occasion.  From time to time the board may modify dress codes with appropriate notification to the membership by posting on the Club bulletin board.

3.        The Club assumes no responsibility for the loss or misplacement of personal property, including jewelry, coats, fur coats and other valuables, which a member or guest may leave in the Clubhouse.

4.        Baseball caps are not allowed in the Clubhouse at any time.  They are to be left in the coatroom.

5.        Smoking is not permitted in the Clubhouse.

6.        Only members and their guests are permitted in the Bar and Tack Room.

7.        No swimming suits are permitted to be worn in the Clubhouse at any time.  Swimming suits with appropriate cover up are permitted on the porch or patio until 6:30 pm.

8.        Members are requested not to enter the kitchen unless picking up take-home foods.

9.        Dogs are not allowed on the Club property.

10.     Children under the age of 12, on Club property, must be in the company of their parent unless under the supervision of the lifeguard (see Sports) or taking a lesson from the Tennis or Riding Instructor.

11.     No cycling or horseback riding on the Club lawn.  Bicycles should be left in the racks provided on the grounds.

12.     The porch and patio are reserved for the use of adults 18 years and older.  Youngsters may use the porch and patio when accompanied by an adult (usually for the purpose of dining).  For special events, younger members may use the porch and patio when cleared by the Club Manager.

13.     In every instance, the reservation and use of a portion of the Club by a group must be sponsored and the function attended by a member.  This rule may be waived from time to time at the discretion of the Board of Governors.  No function at the Club may be operated on a cash basis, with the exception of a ticketed cash bar.

14.     Whenever a group desires to use any part of the Clubhouse or Club grounds for successive days, they must detail the nature and extent of such use in writing and submit same to the Board of Governors for their approval.
